Holiday Grading
It's always a bit of a tricky one but with modern map technology and our experience we've come up with the best solution. With the information provided, you're able to make the best choice.
The grading is based on the average length of day for that holiday, with the range being a maximum of + or - 1hr. Weekends and expeditions marked with an (*) are exceptions. They're graded on the hardest day. The time takes an accurate account of the distance, amount of ascent and descent, and whether we will be carrying expedition packs or walking in winter conditions. Additonal time is added on for brief breaks; to give a slower pace more suited to the tempo of the holiday (grades 1and 2); or should the terrain be especially difficult.
Dates listed are arrival and departure dates. Prices are fully inclusive of guiding/instruction; accommodation and full board (usually at our base, Fraoch Lodge or equivalent); transport to the walks/course and pick up/drop off in Aviemore or at Inverness airport. Clients using public transport to reach Aviemore are entitled to a £15 "green travel discount" on the price of their holiday/course.
