Mountain Courses and Walking Holidays Scotland
"Thank you very much for another splendid Mountain Innovations Holiday. There were excellent excursions, and we very much appreciated all the trouble you took over Matthew's diet. On the train home, I sat wondering why your holidays are so good. A main factor, of course, is that you offer a complete package - transport to and from airport or railway station, transport on the walking days, accommodation, all meals and packed lunches (with the ability to provide very creatively for special diets), interesting walks showing the best features of the country (and not just guided walks, but lots of information on the geology, landscape, weather, flora and fauna etc). This is very commendable but not sufficient to explain everything. I think that the key factors are that you both work very hard and you are both very good at what you do!" Mick Wansborough
"Why do I keep coming back? Great walking of course in some of the best mountain scenery in the world. But it’s the whole package; Rebecca’s cooking – the best food I get on holiday, Andy’s expert guiding – your knowledge of wildlife and flora and geology adds an extra dimension to the walking and the friendly relaxed atmosphere – it feels like your are walking with a group of friends rather than an organised holiday." Peter Clark
"thanks for opening your home to us and giving us a window into your world. hope to see you in chiapas in 2011." Andrew Matranga, Map Editor (Backpacker Magazine) after a Pre Summit Adventure (The Spirit of Cairngorms) with Mountain Innovations
Featured Trip
Wild Knoydart - The remote and rugged Knoydart peninsular is a very special place. For many, it epitomises west highland beauty; mountain after mountain plunging to deep dark serpentine lochs. Accessible only by boat (our mode) or long walk-ins, its one of the most isolated parts of mainland Britain. Its reputation is thoroughly deserved.
